Important note: new site!

26 01 2009

The new site is finally up at www.yokazeblog.com and I will eventually stop visiting this site altogether; however, I will write no more posts here. This will be the last post here and the only one this and the new site doesn’t have in common. The new theme I’m using is called “arthemia” and is a blog and magazine hybrid template thingy, and I hope that you like it! It’s a little dull as it is right now, but I will customize it in time. Please click here to register an account for the new site! You don’t have to register to comment, but to do anything else (as well as comment, really) I wish you would.

Thanks for everything! :D

EDIT: I’ve moved everything from this blog, such as comments and more, to the new one, but pageviews have been cleared, but I hope that with your help it won’t matter in a month or two. ^^

Pac-Man for dinner

24 01 2009

I had Pac-Man for dinner today! As a guest or actual dinner? A little out of both, I guess you could say. Anyway, enjoy these pictures of my no longer existing dinner.

D

Ooh, it's Pac-Man! :D

O

A-are you crying, Pac-Man? :O

Pac-Man became a target! D:

Let me inform you that this was not intentional until I added the eye in the second picture. I noticed that it looked like Pac-Man just before I added ketchup, so I decided to be an idiot. :)

YouTube Finds #01: Epona no Uta

24 01 2009

YouTube means YouTube, and #01 means number one – that means a new series of… something? I thought I’d make a little series of blog posts where I post interesting videos I find at YouTube and share them with you guys! So, here’s the first entry: Epona’s Song with lyrics! :O

Epona, Epona~

I think I’m gonna call this little series “YouTube Finds.” Fantasyless and awesome, don’t you think? I promise, I’ll try not to spam this new category!

English version of Da Capo is officially out

24 01 2009

The bishoujo visual novel Da Capo, supposedly an eroge, has gotten an offical English version that is out already. If it’s an eroge I’m not interested, but if not the title “Da Capo” is something I want in my bookshelf – although, it probably is an eroge. Check out the English site and read up on the story of the game (and find out if it contains hentai or not) and/or buy the game at MangaGamer.

Okay, Da Capo definitely is an eroge...

Suzumiya Haruhi-chan is back!

24 01 2009

The day before Valentine’s Day, Haruhi-chan finally returns – to YouTube! About 22:00 JST (that’s 10 PM in Japanese Standard Time) the channel KADOKAWAanime at YouTube on the 13th February will release the first episode of the new The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya parody online anime, Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuuutsu (simply add “-chan” to The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and you get The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya-chan, or Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuuutsu instead of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu… wow, that was long). If you’ve been waiting for more Haruhi Suzumiya, this Valentine will be the best in years! Maybe…

Final Fantasy VII – finally!

23 01 2009

I finally have my very own copy of Final Fantasy VII (I’d be a little bit happier if it wasn’t the platinum version, but it’s awesome anyway!), a game I’ve been wanting for so many years now! Unfortunately, I cannot play the game until next week. Anyway, enjoy some pictures and I’ll be back as soon as I’ve got something new to write about!

Kino’s Journey… stolen?

22 01 2009

I got the first volume of Kino’s Journey in my mailbox today after winning it in an auction on Tradera, but I can’t help but wonder if it was stolen before I bought it… The DVD case says “endast för uthyrning” which literally means “only for rental” and even though they sometimes sell old rental movies, they would remove the sticker that says “property of {video store},” right? Ah well, it’s not handling as long as I didn’t know it was stolen when I bought it and can’t get in contact with the person I once bought it from, if it even is stolen, right? Great. Anyway, it’s a Swedish edition so it probably sucks like they always do, but at least I can feel at ease that I got a great series (as far as I know) legally instead of downloading it which is not so legal.

Zakka Films releases the first anime ever

22 01 2009

The newly started company Zakka Films start their journey by releasing eight of the earliest ever anime shows, one of them being the first ever anime Momotaro’s Sea Eagles (桃太郎の海鷲; momotarou no umiwashi) which really makes me want to add this DVD collection to my already way too filled with necessary and unnecessary stuff  and messy room! Whoa, long sentence… Oh yeah, the DVD is called The Roots of Japanese Anime: Until the End of WWII.

With the collection a booklet with early history on Japanese anime that might be interesting to look through. You can get The Roots of Japanese Anime: Until the End of WWII at Film Baby for 34.95 USD, but it seems to be “temporarily out of stock” right now.

Tomoko Ninomiya discontinues Nodame Cantabile

22 01 2009

Tomoko Ninomiya, author of Nodame Cantabile, again takes a break because of her carpal tunnel syndrome, causing muscle weakness in her arms, after the previous on-hold that was due to her being pregnant with her son October, 2008, the same time the symptoms first appeared. I don’t follow Nodame Cantabile myself, but I hope Tomoko will become better as soon as possible! Is CTS curable, though? I don’t know… I hope it is.

Get well soon, Tomoko-chan!
