Kingdom Hearts

21 01 2009

I recently discovered Tradera, an auction site, part of eBay (it says), and now I’m addicted to auctioning! Actually, I didn’t just discover it recently, but I’ve never been a member and done auctions before. Anyway, I made some bids on a few items and now I have won Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II for the PlayStation 2, a new PlayStation 2 (how can I else play? XD), a DVD of Kino’s Journey (キノの旅 -the Beautiful World-; kino no tabi -the beautiful world-) and the complete Tales of Phantasia series (based on the game Tales of Phantasia) on one DVD disc. All for very low prices, of course! Oh yeah, I also got my hands on Final Fantasy VII and I can’t wait to play it! The reason I decided to get the Kingdom Hearts games, really, was because I love Final Fantasy and Square/Square Enix so much – and, of course, ’cause everyone always says how great they are. I just hope I won’t immediately throw it away when Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse shows up… I really hate Disney! (Don’t get mad at that comment, I’m just being honest. If you dislike me disliking Disney, just ignore it or I will simply delete your comments. And who knows, maybe Kingdom Hearts may change my opinion. I don’t really think so, though…)

The official Final Fantasy XIII website is up! (+ Versus XIII)

10 01 2009

I’m looking across the web and guess what I find! Square Enix have recently (I’m not sure when exactly) launched the official Final Fantasy XIII website with screenshots and music supposedly from the game. You may not see me shaking from where you are right now, but if you put your ear to the ground you should be able to feel a mild vibration. Can you feel it? That’s me, shaking. I’m excited! I can’t wait for Final Fantasy XIII to be released and I’m going to return to this site as often as I can to check for new content such as the trailers and more screenshots!Official Final Fantasy XIII logo

Visit the official Final Fantasy XIII website now!

[UPDATE] I won’t make a new post about this since I have already written about something else by now, but here it is, anyway. Just after Square Enix launches the official  Final Fantasy XIII website, they also launched the official website for the game Final Fantasy Versus XIII and is available here. It’s in Japanese and it’s in flash, so don’t go thinking Google will help you. ;)

New Final Fantasy XII trailers!

13 12 2008

I and many else has waited for this day (which is actually yesterday) even though the quality of the Final Fantasy games have gone down significantly since after Final Fantasy X (not to say that they are bad, just not as good as they used to be) and now it’s finally here (again, it was actually here yesterday). Two new trailers for the coming games to Square Enix’s Final Fantasy franchise Final Fantasy XII, the game that is supposed to return to the roots of Final Fantasy and especially the hit Final Fantasy VII, and Final Fantasy Versus XII, entered the orbit of die-hard FF fans’ minds through the internet, and now it’s also on my blog! Hmm, that doesn make that much of a difference, does it… *facing the truth*

Watch the Final Fantasy XII trailer here or at the official website.

Saki Mahjong anime 2009

5 12 2008

Square Enix’s Young Gangan tells us in their new 24th issue that came out earlier today that Ritz Kobayashi’s manga Saki Mahjong will become an anime some time during 2009. I don’t know what this manga is about nor what the anime will be about (probably the same, don’t you think? EDIT: Actually, I can guess it’s about Mahjong, but more than that I don’t know) but if you really want to know, Square Enix has uploaded a free preview of manga to be read online at their website (only available in Japanese). I suggest you check it out if you are interested in this show and know Japanese so you know what it is about.

I haven’t read the preview on Square Enix’s website yet, but I’m already interesting in this anime, and the manga as well. Maybe it’s because I love Hikaru no Go that the Mahjong themes attracts me, maybe it’s that I used to play Mahjong with my late grandfather when I was a little kid (I don’t remember how to play Mahjong anymore, but I remember that I liked playing it) – maybe it’s a little out of both. Maybe also because the manga style is really nice.

Blood of Bahamut

17 11 2008

A new game from Square Enix – RPG, of course – for the DS (or DSi, someone?) is on its way, and it’s called Blood of Bahamut. The word “bahamut” (probably a name, though) sounds kind of like “behemoth” which reminds me too much of “mammoth” and I don’t like mammoths that much, but otherwise the fact that it’s a Square Enix is very enticing and the game doesn’t seem to bad either, according to the trailer video on the official website (Japanese) which you can view here. The game’s release date has yet to be announced (TBA).

Green light for Pandora Hearts anime

16 11 2008

Jun Mochizuki’s (I am going to write names of Japanese people with their given names preceding their family name because that’s how it’s supposed to be when not written in Japan, but you are free to read for example Jun Mochizuki as “Mochizuki Jun” if you think it will raise your level of being a hardcore fanboy or -girl) manga Pandora Hearts (ANN) has been serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly GFantasy since June 2006 and is now finally going to be an anime! XEBEC (To LOVE-Ru, Busou Renkin) will take no the project and the green light has been given. I don’t know the date for the anime to begin (has it even been announced yet?) and I haven’t read the manga, but this series seems really interesting to me and I’m definitely going to check this anime out when it airs!
